At Sunny’s Chinese, the flavours were rich and assertive. Like Sydney, there is excellent Asian food. Toronto: It was our first time to Toronto, it actually reminded us a lot of Sydney. And I finally got to visit my friends at Appetite for Books where I signed copies of Tenderheart and To Asia, With Love. I revisited Elena (for the kale caesar, of course!), took the boys to carb-load with gnocchi at Drogheria Fine, and grabbed a whole Kouing Amman from Au Kouing-Amann for the road. I tried my first vegan pogo (corndog) at the bustling La Banquise (they also have vegan / vegetarian poutine). Montreal : a stunning vegan curry and excellent hojicha latte at Osmo x Marusan, creamy vegan ice cream at Della Rossa, memorable fried chili paneer, crispy potato filled puri and dosa at Le Super Qualite. Our visits have only been brief, and I’m still building my list of favourite places to eat but a few highlights from last week: The city is still quite new to me, I’ve been 3 times, once 20 years ago, and twice this year. Thank you so much to everyone that has taken the time recently to leave a review - I’m grateful. 🙏🏼 And a reminder, if you love 💚 Tenderheart, leave it a review on Amazon (whether you purchased it there or not) which makes it easier for others to find my book. If you have been wanting to add more vegetables to your daily meals, but are looking for inventive flavours that are not boring or tired, pick up your copy here.

It is also mostly vegan (or vegan-izable) and gluten-free. 🥦 My new cookbook, Tenderheart offers 500+ pages of vegetarian and vegan recipes, with vegetables at the helm. As always, I appreciate all of you being here! If you would like to see your subscription options, click the link below.
